Sangamon County Child Advocacy Center

The Sangamon County Child Advocacy Center is the first nonprofit organization in Illinois to partner with Swapfish, a cutting edge website for social causes to turn donations into charitable dollars. The CAC will be partnering with Swapfish to help community members clean out their closet and donate items right from their door.

Every year Americans donate $50B in non-cash contributions. With the holidays wrapping up, the Child Advocacy Center is hoping to leverage these unwanted gifts and high quality used items to help fight child abuse in Central IL. Swapfish makes it simple, donors go to www.swapfish.com, click Donate, select the Child Advocacy Center, and will receive a box and a pre-paid shipping label. The process takes only a few minutes, but makes a huge impact! The item will then go to the Swapfish central warehouse where it will be reviewed for quality and posted on the CAC web storefront to be sold.

As a guide, we readily accept name brand clothing, handbags, jewelry, shoes, and accessories. We appreciate any donation but please keep in mind that we will be reselling the items, and so quality and style is key!

Instead of leaving that sweater/handbag/belt on the shelf in your closet regift it to the CAC and restore a child’s sense of safety. Your efforts will make it possible for the CAC to reach another child who needs rescued from child abuse.
